I’m so excited to share Meg and Angelo’s vintage Santa Barbara wedding with you! In her words, their day was inspired by the location. “I love Santa Barbara,California for many reasons but mostly for its endless natural beauty. You can be in almost any park, street corner, or restaurant and still feel like you’re in a small town in Spain. I wanted a venue that showcased the true Spanish architecture, views of the Santa Barbara Mountains, and large green foliage. My vision for he wedding day was lots and lots of greenery with romantic vintage touches.”

Q. Tell us about finding your wedding dress.
A. I love antique lace and I’m a sucker for a strapless trumpet or mermaid wedding gown. I’ve always loved Monique Lhuiller and went to look at her bridal salon in Los Angeles, Ca. After realizing my favorite styles were out of budget I decided to attend the annual Monique Lhuiller sample sale in downtown LA. My best friend and I camped outside in the cold from 1:00Am to 10:00Am the waiting to get in. We only had one girl ahead of us and she wanted a separate ball gown style. We were given thirty minutes to find the ‘one’ and I tried on four dresses and no luck. My best friend and mother went back to search for more gowns and brought back the Arielle strapless trumpet antique lace gown I wore on my wedding day. In addition to the dress I was able to find a cathedral veil with lace on the ends. The retail price on both was over 8,000 and I was able to walk out with it for 2000! I loved my gown and encourage any girl to brave the Monique Sample sale world to get exactly what they want!
