Round Hill Resort Wedding in Jamaica | Samantha + Jasper

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful wedding in one of my all-time favorite destinations, Round Hill Resort in Jamaica. I have had the privilege of staying there multiple times for different weddings and occasions but each time I think it continues to amaze me with its beauty. Samantha and Jasper’s wedding was no different and I am excited to share this gallery with you today.

Originally opened in 1953, Round Hill began as a luxury cottage complex on the tropical shores of Montego Bay. It soon became the premier private retreat for celebrities, socialites and style icons who favored the impeccable service and charming hospitality of this dazzling Jamaican gem. It was the first resort of its kind in the Caribbean and continues to evoke the glamour and style of that fabled era with comfort and charm that’s so refreshing today. Samantha and Jasper wanted their wedding weekend to add to that legacy so it was an easy decision to host their wedding there.

In Sam’s original notes to their wedding decor guru, Mekala Tinnin of Tie That Binds, she crafted her vision which was classic, elegant but comfortable, crisp/clean, beachy formal, timeless, romantic and ethereal. A tall order! Samantha was later able to narrow this down to a Ralph Lauren vision. In fact, Ralph Lauren was the designer behind the interior of Round Hill so what better inspiration than that! She wanted elements of wood, rattan, crisp white accents and of course greenery from the palm leaves. All of these essentials could already be found at Round Hill, most importantly, they just needed their family and friends to get the party started!

Samantha’s mom had a big role in convincing them that Round Hill should be the venue for their big day. As Samantha told me, her mom always shared her devotion to the island, more specifically Round Hill in Montego Bay, and we loved to live vicariously through her magical stories and photos. They decided to take a trip just the two of them to check it out for themselves and they fell in love instantly! As Samantha said” It is heaven on earth, and we hope everyone has a chance to visit this spectacular place in their lifetime. We look forward to bringing our kids to Round Hill.” I couldn’t agree more!
