An Oregon Golf Club Wedding

Katy and Mike’s  romantic Oregon Golf Club wedding is featured on the blog today! I just love hearing how my couples meet and their engagement story. Here’s Katy + Mike’s – enjoy!

How did you guys meet?
“We were set up on a blind date by mutual friends. Though we went to high school about ten minutes apart from each other, went to the same college, and shared many mutual friends, we had never met. A couple months after Katy graduated college, two of these mutual friends decided we should meet. A week after this initial meeting, Mike took Katy out for dinner and the rest was history. ”

Tell us about the proposal!
“Mike surprised Katy on the dock of our friend’s lakehouse–the same place he asked her to be his girlfriend two years prior. Mike took Katy’s hand, got on one knee, and said, “Two years ago I asked you here to do me the honor of being my girlfriend. Now, I’d like you to do me the honor of being my wife.” Of course, Katy said “Yes!” and the tears ensued. Hands were shaking, but eventually, Mike got the ring on Katy’s finger.”
