Q. Tell us about finding your wedding dress.

A. I had gone to only one other bridal boutique before I found myself at the doorstep of Anna’s Bridal Boutique in Lake Oswego. One evening, as I was flipping through a bridal magazine, I stumbled upon a picture of the Dori Gown by Miss Hayley Paige. I quickly raced to the computer and typed it into Google to see where I could try it on. To my luck, there was a Miss Hayley Paige trunk show that very weekend in Oregon so I called Anna’s Bridal Boutique and made my appointment. Once we got there, my mom and sister picked out a few dresses for me to try on along with the Dori Gown. Let’s just say I only tried on the Dori Gown and left the others behind. I fell in love as soon as I looked into the mirror! I knew it was MY dress and I had no doubts about that!

Q. What was the inspiration/vision for your wedding day?

A. My vision for my wedding was to be simple, different, and a breathe of fresh air. I wanted the guests, as well as the groom and I, to enjoy the wedding. I did not want the day to be stressful or hurried. My goal was to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. With that in mind, we chose an outdoor venue, neutral colors, patio umbrellas, candle lights, and string lights.

Q. How did you choose your venue?

A. My folks had imagined a beautiful wedding in the backyard of this home since the day they built it. Of course, we were much too young to wed however, as soon as I grew up and got engaged, we knew we HAD to have my wedding here. It was a dream, a thing we talked about for years and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me from making that dream come true.
