AN ARCHIVE OF love stories
Kate and Martin’s blue and gold travel themed wedding is on the blog today!
When asked what the inspiration for their wedding day was they said, “We wanted to pick a theme that represented us as a couple so we picked travel. Our travel theme helped guide design of the invitations, wedding favors, and table names. Aside from our theme we really wanted our family and guests to feel taken care of and to enjoy the surroundings. After the ceremony guest gathered in an area of the estate to listen to a live jazz band and enjoy the passed horsed’ oeuvres and drinks. We made a corn hole game with our silhouettes painted on them and a giant Jenga game. Then they made there way to their tables near the pond and the house for dinner and the rest of the evening.”
The wedding took place at the Ashland Springs Hotel in Oregon, and here is how the couple selected this venue: “Our venue coordinators are the Ashland Springs Hotel and one of their event locations is a private estate called the Ashland Springs Estate. It is situated in a romantic storybook setting, just a short, 4-mile-drive from downtown Ashland. Featuring European chateau by the pond, lush lawns, walkways flanked with a wide variety of herbs and lavender, grand allée, and beautiful gardens enclosed by the surrounding apple orchards and mountains. Cocktails by the pool and dancing under the stars. A perfect outdoor venue to give our guests from Los Angeles a feel for the beauty of Oregon.”
