Being invited into the the lives of extraordinary people is an incredible privilege. The stories I adorn through my imagery capture the true essence of the human spirit and the art of being in love.

2016 Year in Review..dedication to my clients

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”  – unknown

2016 has come to a close and we have ushered in 2017..unbelievable!  This past year was once again filled to the brim with beautiful love stories and new friendships forged.  This job truly fuels me.  Being surrounded by love and celebration on a weekly basis has truly seeped into my bones. I could not be more grateful to the incredible couples that chose me to be a part of this chapter in their journey together.

I also had the great privilege of spending some one-on-one time with some incredibly talented photographers..encouraging and sharing my experience and knowledge.  The one-on-one sessions are by far some of my favorite experiences.

This is a milestone year for me, as I have now officially entered my 10th year in business.  HUGE goal of mine, and I am looking forward to sharing my new branding and website soon.   This will be a big year of changes in my business, as I will also be taking on more portrait sessions again. This will include a limited number of Fine Art Film “First Baby” family sessions.

I wanted to share one frame from each, (most..some I am not able to share public), of my wonderful clients this past year.  This post is dedicated to THEM.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting me to document your life and your love.  I loved EVERY minute of it!   It’s because of you that I am able to live out my dream.  CHEERS TO YOU!

Nghia and Vincent’s Salem Oregon Engagement…it was the most beautiful day!

Mary and Kyle – These two lovebirds were our “real couple” models for a One-on-On mentorship for the talented Lahna Marie.  The Wisteria at Belle Fiore was AMAZING.  The weather was quite unfavorable, but the sun came out at just the perfect time!

Lucy and Bill’s Zenith Vineyard Wedding was absolutely PERFECT.  A little Oregon drizzle, but the sun came out during the ceremony.  Had such a wonderful time documenting their day.  J29 Events did such a WONDERFUL job on this wedding!

Chris and Molly’s Spring Oregon engagement was a BLAST!  The light, the love, the joy…all the elements came together perfectly.

Editorial for a One-on-One hosted by the uber talented florist, Katie of Ponderosa and Thyme.  This was a day filled with photographing the work of another florist while being taught by Katie.  We had a model in some incredible Claire La Faye gowns.  This was a personal favorite project I had the honor of photographing.  A day filled with florals, talented artists, gowns and golden light…pretty much my love language.

Jessica and Matt’s anniversary session at Cannon Beach was incredibly meaningful and special for all of us.  This couple entered and won a giveaway I hosted in 2015, and we finally had a weekend where we could make it happen.  They traveled from Washington in their RV, and we met at the beach for some time together.  Matt has an amazing testimony and almost lost his life…as some of you know, I lost my husband to an accident several years ago…we had some pretty amazing talks the three of us.  It made this session that much more meaningful to them, and especially to me. THIS is why I love my job.  True connections with amazing humans…and seeing Gods grace in our lives.

Lindsey and Tom!  This incredible couple were an absolute JOY to work with.  From the very moment we sat down for a consultation, we knew we were the right fit.  I immediately fell in love with this bride.  Her attention to detail, her generosity, and her warmth are incomparable!  I could not be more grateful to have been a part of their day!

I could have photographed them in this place for hours!

Excited for their upcoming July wedding!

Andrew and Megan flew in from Chicago and met me at the Metolious River in Sisters Oregon for their engagement!  This amazing couple are native to Oregon but have their careers in Chicago.  They chose this location as it had some special memories with their families.  They will be getting married this August in Bend, Oregon.  It’s going to be an amazing celebration!

Natalie and Leo, truly the kindest of people.  This wedding was another of my very favorites of 2016.  This venue was SO gorgeous, and well…can’t beat that California light!  Once of my favorite elements of their day was the Mariachi band they brought it.  So festive and fun.

Angela and Dean’s San Ysidro Ranch wedding has made it to my top 10 favorite weddings list. (I’ve photographed nearly 200, so that’s a big deal lol)

The mood of their day was so in tune with my soul,  that I would photograph this wedding again 10x over. 🙂  Angela and Dean’s personalities and style was reflected in every detail of their day.  It was nature inspired, timeless, and simply elegant.  Their focus was on each other, and their guests/family.  They made sure I had all the time I needed with them and I was able to capture some incredible light filled images for them.  I have so much more to add, but will save it for the full post and feature soon!

Several of these weddings and sessions will be featured soon on the new website coming early SPRING!

Cheers to 2017!!
