AN ARCHIVE OF love stories
Ashley and Trevor met on the first day of undergrad at UC Berkeley. They sat next to each other in Nutritional Science and connected because they were both from Seattle. Freshman year we were just friends – studying calculus together and playing tennis. It wasn’t until junior year that something changed and they started dating! They’ve been through a lot of milestones together, from finding our first jobs out of college, enduring investment banking, buying a condo and Ashley and Trevor credit those two years of friendship for helping them develop a really strong base for their relationship.
When I asked them about the proposal they told me that Ashley’s father was in town for a work conference, and they had planned to take him sightseeing around San Francisco and end the day with a nice dinner. Their final stop was Lover’s Lane in the Presidio, one of Ashley’s favorite places to walk and hike. As they were walking down, Trevor asked Ashley’s dad to take a photo of them. When Ashley turned around, Trevor was down on one knee. Then, from the other side of the trail, Ashley’s mom and Trevor’s mom ran in with giant balloons and roses, while his dad came in with a video camera from the other side. It was extremely special to have both sets of parents involved in the proposal.
It was such a pleasure getting to photograph their beautiful outdoor engagement session and I cannot wait to see them on their special day.
