San Ysidro Ranch Garden Wedding | Christine + Jordan

I’m excited to share with you Christine + Jordan’s San Ysidro Ranch garden wedding today! This couple had so many unique details incorporated into their day and I hope you enjoy reading about them. Enjoy!

Q: Any DIY elements?

A: I’m an interior designer, and love crafts and being creative, so I definitely had a lot of DIY ideas that I wanted to incorporate into the day. Starting with the invitations. I’ve done some graphic design in the past and i’m a little obsessed with typefaces so I knew I wanted to design them myself, and our Save the Date was a photo that my dad had taken when my parents and I visited the ranch several years ago. As for the letter pressing, I couldn’t find a place in Toronto that would letter press a custom design, but I found this cute little studio on Queen St. that does one-on-one workshops so Jordan and I got to make them ourselves. My best friend had done custom water bottles at her wedding which I loved, so we did the same thing and I designed little labels that I glued on a million bottles of water! I also had a lot of fun with the tables, I wrote all the place cards (tags) by hand, designed the menus, and little tags for the favors. I enlisted my cousins two nights before the wedding to help me wrap the napkin/menu bundles together and I couldn’t have done it without them!

My new pave one is actually made with gold melted down from my mom’s first engagement ring (she has since upgraded), so for me, the two bands represent two really long and happy relationships – my grandparents, who were married for over 60 years and my parents who have been together since they were 16!” rings-melted-from-parents-wedding-bands

A: “My Juliette Cap headpiece – It originally belonged to my mom, and was also worn by my cousin at her wedding. This was really special to me considering my mom isn’t the most sentimental person and throws everything out! It was really nice to have a little piece of history to wear.”

“Tracey at Ella & Louie did an amazing job of bringing my vision to life for my flower crown 🙂 I really wanted to wear a flower crown because when I was younger, I would always make them with my grandmother, so it was my little tribute to her. It was so beautiful and smelled so amazing!”
